Job Description

TRC is currently seeking a Drone Pilot / UAS Survey Technician to join our team in Richmond, VA.


Position Summary / Job Duties:
Individual must be able to perform the following duties.
Must have demonstrated prior UAV fight experience with a variety of sensors including LiDAR and Photogrammetry
Use of CAD, Pix4D and other UAV industry software
Produce survey deliverables including but not limited to remote sensing data, planimetric survey and mapping data, contours, and topographic features and other survey data.
Effectively communicate with internal & external stakeholders and team members.

Requirements
Qualifications / Required Training, Experience, Education and/or Skills:
Candidate must hold a current FAA Part 107 certification
Served in various UAV Technical capacities as a PIC, VO or other key roles.
Candidates with a high working knowledge of UAVs mechanics, equipment inspection and maintenance, and repair are preferred.
Preferred Minimum of 3 years of UAV Survey Technician
Ability to conduct pre and post flight airworthiness inspections
Ability to provide flight planning and train others in the use of UAVs
Candidates must have the ability to create, manage and execute flight plans with emphasis of adhering to corporate policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Candidate must understand applicable FAA rules and regulations.
Requires knowledge of both professional land surveying technology and UAS operations.
Graduates from an ABET accredited land surveying or geomatics curriculum, GIS related field of study, LIST or licensed professional land surveyor preferred.
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Good written and verbal communication skills, good mechanical, and computer skills.
A valid drivers license is required
