Responsibilities:
- Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Maintaining inventory of sterile supplies.
- Cleaning and inspecting equipment for damage or defects.
- Following infection control procedures meticulously.
- Ensuring proper documentation and tracking of sterilization processes.
- Assisting in the operating room as needed.
- Floating between Laguna Beach and Mission Viejo locations, potentially mid-shift.
- Participating in on-call rotation (one weekend per month).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- CBSPD certification.
- IAHCSMM/HSPA certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Willingness to float between locations.
