We are looking for an energetic and personable Server Assistant/Barback to join our team. You’ll play a vital role in creating exceptional experiences for our guests while assisting the team in running the outlets on the day to day from assisting servers, to running food and helping restock the bar in the Bistro and at the Rooftop Pool.

What You’ll Do:

The Server Assistant/Barback is responsible primarily for assisting the Food Server in serving the guest. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position with continual customer contact. A Hyatt restaurant servers assistant will engage in casual conversation and create the restaurant experience by their style and service attributes. 

Other duties include running food orders, general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment (service station setups, stock replenishment, equipment organization and cleaning).

At the Rooftop Pool Bar, you will be responsible for set up, stock, and maintaining the work areas. You will stock ice, glassware and other stations supplies and maintain the cleanliness of the work area including but not limited to the bar. 

This a part-time seasonal position with a  schedule that requires flexibility with afternoon/evenings shifts from 3:00pm-11:30pm or 4:00pm-12:30am, including weekends and holidays.

The hourly rate for this role is $20/hr. This position is eligible to earn overtime, shift differentials and premium pay under certain circumstances, tips, commissions, service charges, or incentive awards.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• 1-2 yrs. previous hospitality or customer service experience is a plus
• Must be able to work PM shifts including weekends and holidays.
