Business Office Manager - Large Senior Living Community
We are seeking a Resident Services Director to join our team at our large premier senior living community in Glendale. Come join a team of dedicated, smart, and caring professionals as they work together to care for our seniors and provide them the lifestyle they deserve. As the Resident Services Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the receptionist and transportation departments.

Responsibilities
*
Oversee Daily Front Office Operations: Manage the day-to-day functions of the front desk, concierge, and transportation services to ensure smooth, efficient operations. Address issues promptly while upholding safety, cleanliness, and health standards throughout the facility.

Provide Resident Support: Serve as a point of contact for resident concerns, providing guidance, facilitating conflict resolution, and addressing complaints. Proactively work to enhance resident satisfaction by anticipating and exceeding expectations.

Lead and Manage Staff: Supervise and support resident services team members through training, coaching, and performance management. Ensure appropriate staffing levels and address personnel needs as they arise.

Develop and Implement Programs: Design and execute service programs and operational procedures that align with best practices in resident services. Maintain and reinforce high service standards across all interactions.

Coordinate Cross-Departmental Services: Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of resident services. Assist the Sales team with internal apartment transfers and support on boarding of new residents.

Support Resident Resource Access: Help residents navigate available resources related to transportation, healthcare, social engagement, and emotional well-being, enhancing their quality of life and independence.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with applicable state, city, and county laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to resident care and facility operations. 8. Performs other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
*
A bachelor's degree in administration, healthcare, hospitality or 5 years’ experience in a related field is often preferred.
*
Strong Leadership, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage staff effectively, and communicate with residents, families, and vendors in a compassionate and professional manner.
*
Exceptional Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities: Skilled in managing complex situations, resolving conflicts, and making timely decisions while maintaining a calm, resident-focused approach under pressure.
*
Expertise in Customer Service and Hospitality: Deep understanding of guest service principles with experience in delivering high-quality service, driving resident satisfaction, and fostering a welcoming environment.
*
Organizational Skills and Regulatory Knowledge: Capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and best practices in resident care.
*
Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions, (word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, payroll and benefits administration and others.)
*
Previous supervisory experience (at least one year).
