Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing Industry
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing company in Lubbock, TX. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of production machinery and facility equipment through installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and plant equipment.
* Perform emergency and scheduled repairs to minimize production downtime.
* Conduct preventive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability.
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replacing or repairing parts as needed.
* Read and interpret technical manuals and work orders for maintenance procedures.
* Utilize hand and power tools, electric meters, and material-handling equipment.
* Perform additional maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing and carpentry.
* Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience: Minimum of 4 years in industrial maintenance or related fields.
* Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. An associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
* Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
* Communication: Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
* Mathematical Ability: Proficiency in basic mathematical concepts, including fractions, percentages, and measurements.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders, and reach at various heights.
* Must have clear vision (close, distance, color, depth perception) and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
* Industrial setting with moderate to high noise levels.
* Hands-on work with machinery and equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
