The Road Home was founded in 1923 and has been a leader in the endeavor to end homelessness for over 100 years. We provide low-barrier emergency shelters, supportive services, and housing-first-minded rental assistance that helps individuals and families step out of homelessness and back into the community. Job Summary
The Grant Writer’s primary responsibility is securing adequate private monetary support for The Road Home’s critical programs. The Grant Writer must communicate The Road Home’s story, mission, and vision to potential funders about our programs and work through all aspects of the grant cycle, from application to reporting. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to learn new tasks. This position will interact with multiple departments to compile documents, gather information, and write applications accurately to reflect current and future needs for all grants. The Grant Writer assists with program descriptions and data organization within the agency as we work to help people step out of homelessness and back into housing.
