Job Description
The Recreation Supervisor of Outdoor Education is responsible for overseeing the stewardship, restoration, and maintenance of Hawthorn Glen's natural areas. This includes habitat management, trail maintenance, invasive species control, and coordinating conservation projects. Additionally, this role supervises the daily operations of the nature museum, ensuring proper exhibit maintenance and efficient staff coordination.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver and collaborative team player with a passion for developing an engaging outdoor education program that fosters ecological health and sustainability. They are committed to making nature education accessible and appealing to all members of the Milwaukee community. This individual will actively cultivate partnerships to enhance services, address the diverse needs of participants, and prioritize safety while continuously improving resources.
